Aquatic Wood Carvings By Dan Coors 39" Wahoo Each subject is hand carved, using both hand gouges, knives and grinders. I then apply dye stains. Their translucent quality allows the wood's grain and other natural characteristics to show through, there by retaining a rustic appearance. Next, acrylic paint is added in areas to accent color and detail, bringing to life some of the most beautiful creatures which inhabit our planet. Finally, several coats of sealer is applied. Each piece is then signed,dated and ready to hang or display on a shelf or mantle.
