This folding knife was manufactured by Perpiña & Porce. They started manufacturing in October 1985, and made 1,200 units in three months. Half the production was industrialized & the rest of the knife was handmade. They were made for Renault who bought them for the Automotive business gifts. The Company is the automaker, Renault Argentina, which uses the isotype rhomboid Diamond symbol , (this one does not bare the symbol, but is of the same heading). The steel is AISI 420. and the handles are cotton fabric impregnated with phenolic resin and pressed temperature. I hope this information will serve. The above information provided by Joseph A. Porcel. This is a very rare and unique "Wood Lock" style knife which looks identical to the swing lock folders that were produced for Colt Manufacturing Co. by Barry Wood in the 1960's & early 1970's.
