Stunning C Wood Original Oil Painting "Northcourt Jacobean Manor House On The Isle Of Wight" Signed To The Lower Right By The Artist C Wood By Monogram CRJW Circa 1950's Oil On Canvas Mounted Onto Wooden Board Framed This fabulous and original painting measures 22" by 18 1/2" by 2 1/2" including frame and 17 1/2" by 13 3/4" actual picture area. The oil itself is in excellent condition, practically mint. The gilded and ornate grained effect wooden frame is in very good condition. The painting is on canvas which is then mounted onto a wooden panel which is then very securely held into an inner frame which is then very securely fixed into an outer frame. The painting is held in with brass holding clips and old rusty nails and is ready to hang with an old steel hanging wire. There is a label on the back with the title Northcourt and the artist's address and details. The painting portrays the beautiful Northcourt Jacobean manor house on the Isle Of Wight set in fifteen acres of beautiful gardens and a stunning oak tree in part of the beautiful garden and some steps going up towards the front door . Brilliantly painted are the shadows reaching out across the lawn, the sunlight to be clearly seen by all upon the recently manicured grass. The colours are absolutely beautiful, the execution is superb and the brushwork is exquisite.
