Carved Spirit Hiking Stick A Hiking Thumb Stick made from a stout fumed Chestnut shaft and carved in the style of the 'Spirit Sticks' which are very popular in the USA. The carving represents the spirit of the tree from which the stick was made. It is said that shepherds used to carve a face in a tree to release the spirit of the tree which was said to protect the carver and bring good fortune. I made and carved this myself and it is unique, each one which I carve is different. From fully seasoned Chesnut . With a length of 38 " ( 960 mm) * it is topped with a p aracord wrist loop . It is comfortable to use (and gets a lot of interest). The bottom is fitted with a rubber ferrule. * I can shorten to suit before despa tch if required Thank you for looking.
