Golden West Brewing Co. was Oakland, California's longest running and biggest brewery. Located in West Oakland, they it operated under various owner and names from 1856 until 1959. During prohibition, the produced "de-alcoholized" beverages. Beers produced include Golden Glow [stout, ale, bock, and beer], Bulls Eye Beer, El Capitan Beer, Excell Beer, Sunset Beer, and Golden West Steam Brew. This beer keg is stamped "March 3, 1931" so it no doubt held the de-alcoholized beverage as this was during prohibition. This very unique keg is in excellent condition and measures 20 inches wide by 25 inches tall. It has 2 inch stives and holds approximately 15.5 gallons. It is also stamped Golden West Brewing Company. Please ask questions before bidding and choose wisely as there are no returns. THIS ITEM IS BEING OFFERED FOR LOCAL PICK UP ONLY.
