This is a very nice piece of WOOLY MAMMOTH IVORY BARK. Excellent for knife scales, scrimshaw etc or as is for an addition to your fossil collection. I have sanded and polished a small section only to show the beautiful color and texture. It measures 6" long x 4" wide x 3/16" thick. You can get several fine knife or gun scales out of this piece or it would be beautiful for scrimshaw cut and with windows polished into the center! Check out my other auctions for more neat treasure. In the following days I'll be selling some very nice fossils, bones and ivory from the gold mines of Alaska. Low opening bid and no reserve or buy it now for instant gratification and to the great consternation of those who hesitated! $6.50 Shipping and insurance is done quickly via priority mail, more for international bidders.
