EBay pulled this auction on me last week because I had used the works "like new" to describe the condition. I don't know how else to describe it. This is a early 1940's Taylor #2233 Yacht Stormoguide Barometer. Shaped like a ships wheel with brass spokes. Measures 8 inches from spoke tip to spoke tip. Dial is 3 1/2 inches in diameter. Medium stain wood case with brass bezel, black metal case back with altitude adjustment. Black and red lettering on the dial is sharp and clear. No rust or corrosion anyw Dial glass perfect. Barometer is working and accurate for my area. Comes in the original box which is strong and intact with some shelf wear. Box has great deco style graphics. Box inserts intact. Also includes a Taylor instruction manual and a small Taylor catalog both of which are mint. Barometer shows a small amount of box wear to the brass bezel and the wood case backside (see photos)--that is the only reason I'm not calling it new or mint. I doubt t is a better one out t I accept Pay Pal, personal checks and money orders. Personal checks must clear my bank before item ships. Other methods of payment will usually ship on Monday or Wednesday. U.S. bidders only please. I am willing to consider out of country bidders on a case-by-case basis but please contact me before you bid. Any out of country bidder must be prepared to use Pay
