The Works of Alexander Pope-1753-Moral Essays/Poems-Georgian Fine Bindings Description: WORKS OF ALEXANDER POPE, ESQ. VOLUME 1 & III. CONTAINING HIS JUVENILE POEMS AND MORAL ESSAYS. Pope, Alexander. Published by H Lintot and R Tonson/J & P Knapton, London. Fully bound in leather, boards worn and detached, with gilt lined edges. Spines chipped and worn. Internally the pages are clean and tight in the main, with some light toning, and include a number of full page engravings, including a frontis to the Essays volume. Despite the binding, the volumes are still pretty collectable, especially for the illustrations, and would be well worth rebinding, retaining the boards. One of a number of similar Items I am selling.
