We are pleased to present a small, simplified German tin globe from the 1930's. This little Globe displays political borders in conflict with the actual timeline of that period and tfore we are not able to be more detailed on its age. For example, the German Empire is shown with its expansion of Austria (1938). However Russia is still visible as the Russian Empire instead of the USSR it changed to in 1922. One must keep in mind that this model was more likely intended to be a toy and attention to detail was not as important as with political terrestrial models. T is no cartouche visible to identify a manufacture. Please view the pictures and judge for yourself regarding the Globes age. Either way, this is certainly a very unique piece! Description: The entire globe is made of tin. The globe itself is a hollow orb with a lithographed map. The half meridian is also hollow, connected to the base, both in a black finish. Language on the globe is German. The model has a diameter of about 5" and a total height of 8". Condition: The Globe is in average condition for its age and does show wear in form of rubbing, scratches, some soiling and two slight dents, located in northern Europe and at the North Pole. Details are still crisp and colors are still very vivid. Please see pictures for details. The age of the Globe has been determined
