LARGE Map with much Data The World on Mercator Projection (This is a genuine map from 1905 / It is Not a reproduction) This map was removed from the Scott County, Iowa Atlas ; published in 1905 by The Iowa Publishing Company of Davenport, Iowa. I've included a scan of the date from the title page below for reference. The map itself was prepared by George F Cram, and then the ears of corn border was added by the Iowa Publishing company. it is not dated on the face. The sheet size is about 28.75" x 18.25" Plenty of data printed around bordered map, including: (along the top and slightly cut off in the big scan below--all present on the map including the ears of corn border): Countries with their Capitals; Area; Population; Commerce with the US; National Debt, etc. In the left and right margins: Railroads of the World; Telegraphs of the World; Dimensions of the Earth; Areas of the Earth; Principal Salt Lakes; Principal Freshwater Lakes; Longest Rivers; Armies of the World; Navies of the World. Condition: Very Good. Printed on heavy paper which is blank on the reverse. There is a fold in the center. This map is too large for my scanner, so was scanned in three passes and then assembled for the composite view below. Still the very top is cropped off of the scan--there on the map.
