WORLD WAR II SELECTIVE SERVICE MEDAL with RIBBONS in ORIGINAL BOX. TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES BELOW. Condition is EXCELLENT, some wear to be expected from USE and AGE...the box is WORN and TORN...the cover is still attached with material holding it. T is a little area of dirt around the edge on the back...and also on the front. The MEDAL has a YELLOW & BLUE RIBBON attached, and t is a RIBBON BAR too...so t are 2 pieces...MEDAL with RIBBON & BAR. The MEDAL has writing on the Back, "AWARDED IN THE NAME OF THE CONGRESS OF THE UNITED STATES FOR FAIRTHFUL AND LOYAL SERVICE". Front shows EAGLE, SELECTIVE SERVICE SYSTEM, WORLD WAR II. Overall size is 2-3/4" High (with Ribbon); 1-1/4" Wide in Diameter; BAR is 1-1/2" Wide x 3/8" High; Box is 6-1/2" x 3-1/2" Wide. WONDERFUL VINTAGE ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION...GREAT GIFT TOO!
