An aeronautical clock, mounted in a hub from a SPAD propeller. The clock is 3" in diameter, marked "Standard Aero Corp of New York." The dial is black, with brass hours, white seconds and letters. T is a second hand dial near the top of the hour/minute dial, marked "Chelsea 8 Day." The dial is surrounded by a brass bezel, and bullets mounted alternately facing in and out. The bullet cases are marked, but I cannot read them. The top of the propeller is stenciled "U.S.A. 1917-1919" in gold letters. T is an allied forces insignia painted above the dial. Finally, on the rear of the propeller hub, is incised "SC17470" and "Shop 1449.: The entire piece is 13 ¼ " tall and 9" wide at the widest. T is a felt or leather piece on the bottom to avoid marring your furniture. Truly, a one of a kind piece of Americana. We are full service antiques dealers, in business since 1994.
