OLD VERY WORN ANTIQUE VINTAGE Small RUNNER RUG from AFGHANISTAN - 49" x 16" See more photos below ....Main photo is an example of the wear and thetwo smaller ones are of the back. It measures approx. 49" (125cms) x 16" (40.5cms) including fringes This lovely old Wool Runner Rug could have been used as a back toa seat or bench as it has 'loops' up one of the long sideswhich could have hung on hooks. And there are twowhat look like man-made squarish holes at either end whichcould have fastened it at either end.There is a hole in one edge where a loop goes through but theother loops are just threaded through with no damageand could be removed. I have been using it as a Runner (photo 2 is the back).There is wear but there is pile left as well.The fringes at either end are very scruffy but could be tidied up -photo 6 is the worst end.The edges are unkempt, uneven and tatty but reasonably intact.There are no holes in the actual main part of the Rug. I've tried to give as honest a description as possible which doesnot really do this old runner much justice becauseit actually retains a lot of charisma and charm in spite of its condition .....
