Up for Auction : I am offering a beautiful antique cranberry opalescent Daisy & Fern pattern water pitcher, mfg. by Northwood Glass Co., circa 1890's. The water pitcher measures 8.5" high, 6.5" at its widest point and 5" wide at the top. It has an applied handle and a crimped top . This is a great water pitcher in excellent, collectible condition. Since this is vintage Northwood, t is no maker's mark to report. T are no heat checks to report and the handle is in perfect condition with the exception of a popped air bubble which looks like a sliver...It appears to be a air bubble that was on the surface that popped during the firing of the pitcher. I don't think it could have happened after the fact. Please see the 5th photo. I did not find any other cracks, chips or repairs. As with all early opalescent glass, t are a few air bubbles & straw marks present. If you have any questions or would like more photos, feel free to send me an email through ebay.
