watch Teddy and Grubby work > /watch?v=kT0FsHlw2Ts Up for auction is a great WORLD OF WONDERS TEDDY RUXPIN and GRUBBY LOT. You get a hard to find Teddy Ruxpin with a METAL TAPE PLAYER and a very rare, very hard to find PROTOTYPE GRUBBY! Both Teddy and Grubby work perfectly!! They were adult owned and were never played with by a child. Both come in their boxes. Boxes have shelf wear and show signs of age but both are still very sturdy and have lots of life left in them. I couldn't load individual pictures of every item included in this because there are so many. However, the photo of the entire lot shows everything that is included in the auction. The following are the details: TEDDY RUXPIN = He works perfectly! Sound is loud & clear with no static. His eyes and mouth - both upper and lower jaw - move perfectly and in concert with the tape. His fur is awesome and he has the most adorable rubber nose!! He really looks like new just like the day he arrived on the store shelves. There are no stains and no smells. His battery compartment is clean and there is no corrosion. His metal tape player is shiny and works great. He comes in his original box with his warranty card, care and instructions pamphlet, card for ordering additional animation cords, and a World of Wonders toys pamphlet. Paperwork is in excellent, near mint condition. The box is in good condition overall. It has some shelf wear and the 2 tabs on the back are missing but there are no rips and tears and it is very sturdy overall. GRUBBY -- He is a very rare, hard to find prototype Grubby!! Prototypes are distinguished by 3 main features - 1) battery cover closes with a lock that slides over the top of the cover and looks like the Worlds of Wonder symbol, 2) Grubby's feet are slightly larger and more rounded than the mass produced Grubbys and 3) the eyes are a bluish purple rather than deep blue as is found in the more common version of Grubby. He works perfectly!! His eyes and mouth - both upper and lower jaw - move perfectly and in concert with the tape. His fur is pristine! He looks like he just came right out of the factory. There are no stains and no smells. His battery compartment is clean and corrosion free! Grubby comes with his animation cord and comes in his original box but I have misplaced his paperwork. Grubby's box is in fair condition. It does show shelf wear, has tape residue on it, has some creases/crushing on the lid but still has a lot of life left in it and is sturdy. The Airship Book and Tape which came with Teddy in the box - Both book and tape are in near mint condition! Tape works perfectly. Book is near mint, excellent condition. Pages are clean, crisp. Binding is firm. No missing pages. Teddy Ruxpin Lullabies book and tape set in its original package - near mint! Played one time! Tape works perfectly. Book is near mint, excellent condition. Pages are clean, crisp. Binding is firm. No missing pages. Package is still in like new condition but the tabs are loose Teddy Ruxpin Christmas set - Comes with Santa Claus suit, Christmas book and tape. This set has been opened and Santa Suit was put on Teddy a couple of times but always by an adult. The Christmas tape is what is playing in the video. Please ! This entire set is in pristine condition. Tape works perfectly. Book is near mint, excellent condition. Pages are clean, crisp. Binding is firm. No missing pages. B ox does show a shelf wear and has some tape in some places but overall it is still in good condition Hiking Out -- completely mint in box!!! It has never been removed! The entire outfit is still factory sewn to the cardboard. The box has shelf wear and has been taped on the corners but still has a lot of life left in it.
