This is a rare World War I American Expeditionary Forces Airman's Diary. The diary was written by a private in the US 86th Aero Squadron that served in England and France during 1918. He reported for service on Dec. 14, 1917. On Dec. 28, 1917 he was assigned to the 86th Aero Squadron. He was an aircraft mechanic that repaired the fabric on the biplane fighters.
