Nakhimov Medal was awarded to soldiers and sailors , sergeants and petty officers , warrant officers and non-commissioned officers of the Navy and Marine Parts border troops . The Medal of Nakhimov produces: for skilled , enterprising and courageous actions contributed to the successful performance of combat tasks and parts of ships in naval theaters ; for their courage in the defense of the state of the marine borders of the USSR ; for the dedication shown by the performance of military duty, or other services during active military service under conditions involving a risk to life. Nakhimov Medal is worn on the left chest and the presence of other medals of the USSR is located after the medal " For Military Merit ." Total produced more than 13,000 awards Medal of Nakhimov . The position of the coin was changed in 1947 and 1980 .
