WW II FRENCH Uniform COAT BUTTONS Air Force WINGS STAR Brass 2 PIECE Military DESCRIPTION: Offered for auction a SET of (2) Brass Coat Buttons with a Radiant Star at the top and Curved Wings underneath. Marked PERFECTIONNE with SYMPOLS on the back. They are two piece loop shank buttons. These buttons came from a collector of buttons here in New England who was a seamstress. She was born in the late 1800's and became a seamstress in her early twenties. When she died in the late 1960's she left, literally, pounds of buttons stored in boxes and on cards. MEASURE ~ 3/ 4" approximately ~ . CONDITION ~ GOOD ~ ....some age wear.... shanks seem strong and fairly straight.(see photographs).
