The 10th Amphibious Track Battalion was in direct support for the various elements of the 4th Marine Division while conducting combat operations on Iwo Jima. Gives a day to day report on these operations. If you are a battle of Iwo Jima buff then is for you. It give you a perspectives that history books do not relate in from this perspective.Gives loads of details on their day to day operations ranging from delivery combat troops to the beaches, ferrying supplies ashore, the issues and difficulties of executing these missions, bringing supplies from the beachhead to the front lines, picking up casualties, etc.Rarely seen document as they were held at division for analysis of future amphibious and combat operations against Japanese forces. This document was declassified sometime in the 1950s.This document was prepared by the battalion S-3 immediately after the battle in 1945, and has Unclassified stamps on the pages.This reprinted book is 8 1/2 x 11 staple bound with 58 pages.
