Greetings. You are bidding on what I believe to be a Model 1895 Dutch Cavalry sword. The sword is in very good condition. The tip of the sword is the same shape as the Dutch Naval boarding cutlass and there are similarities in the scabbards. Originally painted black scabbard & hilt have 30-40% paint remaining. Original blued blade has about 90% blue left and original factory sharp edge. A few nicks and rust spots. Nothing major. Steel hilt and wood handle very solid and no rattling. Scabbard leather and fittings are also solid. 4 lb. weight includes shipping materials. US & CANADIAN BIDDERS ONLY PLEASE!!!! TERMS & CONDITIONS - PLEASE READ!! All items are described to the best of my abilities. If you read my feedback, you will see that most buyers usually leave "better than described". I may make an honest mistake occasionally, and will do whatever is necessary to make the buyer satisfied in that instance. I am a buyer and collector, much like you. I usually start auctions at $19.99 with no reserve, but there may be an occasional exception. I reserve the right to end an auction within 13 hours before the auction ends if the item is not getting sufficient interest, so if you want it...keep it going and bid!
