Item is a authentic quality made mussle cap to fit over front tangent sight.Old is heck very nicely made of both steel & brass complete & is made to attach & twist 90 deg like old socket bayonet.It came with a 1874 Mauser I belive its German made for contract Mauser i.e anyboby out there with input please update listing to help match to Collector.I do combine auction wins to save on postage.
