This is a nice "been t" M1917 helmet. It displays "normal" combat wear and has a salty look. The shell retains approx. 95% of it's original paint . The chinstrap is a little stiff, but nothing to worry about. The 1st Lt. rank looks to have been soldered or welded on, as was the case in the early 1900's. The leather liner is also a little stiff. I hate to see this one go but I don't have room for it anymore. My loss is your gain! Please feel free to email me with any questions. Good Luck bidding and LOOK at my other auctions.
