WW1 OR WW2 SHELL TRENCH ART ASHTRAY AND MATCHBOX HOLDER Excellent example of a piece of Trench Art - not sure of year - BELIEVE TO BE WW1 Has a Royal Artillery Officers Grenade style marking on the match box holder. Will be carefully packed for shipping - it is obviously heavy!!!! Markings on the bottom of the shell base: 18 Pr (= 18 Pounder - the key artillery unit of the British Army in WW1) A - F - E_ _ - S CF LOT 174 F.7 17 13CM HIGH ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK - NOT SURE WILL BE ABLE TO HELP BUT WILL TRY TO EXPLAIN MORE OF WHAT I CAN SEE!!!
