HELLO COLLECTORS !What I have for sale is an ORIGINAL US WW2 WESTINGHOUSE PARATROOPER HELMET LINER. Inside the liner there's an owner's stamp W3545 .It probably belonged to ORVAL AUSTIN WILLIS - ARMY SERIAL NUMBER 39923545 He was a member of 680th Glider Field Artillery Battalion, 17th Airborne Division He survived Battle of Bulge and Operation Varsity . He passed away in 2006. I bought this precious liner on one of military markets in Poland. Seller told me that the liner came to Polandafter the war with a Polish soldier who fought in Western Europe. They probably met in Germany after The Operation Varsity and they exchanged souvenirs. The 1st Polish Armored Division was in Germany at that time. That's all what I know about the story. The condition of the liner is well v isible on photos. I haven't restored it in any way, just removed some dust. All parts are matching and were not replaced. The liner hasn't got a neckband and a leather strap. One of A-suspension buckles is missing an had been replaced with a small buckle a long time ago, maybe during the war period. The liner was made by Westinghouse, and it is the last WW2 model with brass "A" washers. The sweatband has also a brass buckle. Please take a look at close photos here: /paratrooper80/Liner02 FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING!!! No returns. Good luck !!!
