You can reach us at to get a cash offer on your collection or individual knife .*** Description: 1 early World War II model 1942 bayonet available. This Oneida Limited Co. bayonet fits the 1903 Springfield & and the M1 Garand. The green plastic scabbard with this bayonet is stamped 'U S N MK 1'. This model 1942 bayonet would make an important addition to any collection.This bayonet measures 20 1/2" overall, and has a 16" blade. The blade tang is stamped 'O L U S 1942'. The flaming bomb stamp is positioned between the U and the S in the stamp. This bayonet has a black handle grips. The backside of the scabbard has a small moisture drain hole at its tip. Condition: This Oneida Ltd. model 1942 bayonet is in good condition. This bayonet obviously had at least moderate rust on it at one time. The rust was cleaned from the blade leaving cosmetic finish scratches and some pitting. Most of what you see on the blade is just carbon staining. The guard sustained some heavier rust, which was cleaned off as well. There is some heavier pitting on the guard. But everything functions as intended. The locking mechanisms work perfectly. The grips are in excellent condition. The handle locking mechanism functions perfectly. The green scabbard is in excellent condition. The scabbard has 98% of its original green paint. The metal throat and hanger does have minor surface rust.
