'New' from Aviation Artist Ron Cole German Me 410 & Russian La 5 over the Eastern Front c. 1944 Autographed by two important theater veterans - one from each side: Personally signed by both Lieutenant Willi Noller (Knight's Cross) of Luftwaffe StG2, and Major Sergai Karmarenko (25 victories and Hero of the Soviet Union). Also signed and numbered by the artist. One of only 50 in this series! The winter of 1944 saw Soviet forces attempting to encircle one Wehrmacht division after another as they drove relentlessly towards East Prussia, Romania and Hungary. The Luftwaffe was called into action against these Russian tank columns - over 1600 T-34s were deployed towards East Prussia alone. Soviet Air Force fighters took to the air to stop the Luftwaffe. The result was some of the most fast-paced and brutal fighting in the history of modern warfare - one snapshot of which is captured in this limited edition and autographed piece. Once my galleries start carrying this piece, by agreement I won't be listing it anymore on eBay. I've put this up as a 7 day auction in order to give people an early shot at this new release before the only way to get it will be at full retail or above.
