Genuine, authentic, original Waffen Elite War photograph hand signed by Waffen Elite Standartenfuhrer Albert Frey. Frey was a highly decorated Waffen Elite Grenadier and Panzer commander during WW2. Frey held important Waffen Elite commands with Super Elite LSSAH Division during the Invasion of Poland, Battle of France, the Balkans, Operation Barbarossa, Battle of Kharkov (in which he received the German Cross in Gold for bravery) and surprisingly was made a temporary Regiment commander in Italy and captured an amazing 10,000 prisoners!! Frey commanded Panzer units in the infamous Battle of Kursk, and later Kiev and in March 1944 given command of the LSSAH First Panzer Division and defended Normandy from the Allies, but was wounded and removed from command.. Because of his military leadership, he was promoted to Standartenfuhrer (Colonel) And because of his extreme personal bravery and military leadership in combat, he was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oakleaves, one of only 820 soldiers to receive this high honor during the War.
