All original German WWII textbook combat field canteen (Feldflasche). This is the M31/41 model which was issued since early 1941 with aluminum drinking flask. Black leather strapping with steel hook. Wool body cover with all intact snap on buttons. The Bakelite lid (with correct Bakelite marking!) has still the red rubber washer inside! Black Bakelite drinking cup with correct Bakelite code marking as well !.All over a nice matching field canteen, maker marked with "VDNS41" (made in 1941 ). It fits excellent to the M31 1940 dated field bread bag which I do have listed on separate eBay auction! Please note the last picture below w you see a German gunner with exactly this type of M31/41 canteen and bread bag ! Very rare piece of German combat field gear within these days -especially in this nice condition! -I will contact the high bidder after the auction has ended.Thank you.
