WW2 Group 8th Infantry Division USMC Embassy Guard US Diplomat Statue Photo +++Interesting group from the estate of Andres Sanchez. During WW2 he served in the 8th I.D. After the war he went into the Marines and became an embassy guard which led to him going into the Diplomatic Corps where he was US Consul General in several South American countries. This is the most interesting statue photograph from WW2 I have ever seen. The head is the photo and the rest is carved from wood and painted. You can see that he was a combat decorated soldier in the 8th Infantry Division during WW2. There are several repairs to the carved frame which I have documents. His sterling silver ID bracelet is also part of the group. His name is on the front and serial # on the back. I am not sure what time period he was an embassy guard but included is a Certificate of Appreciation he got while part of the Marine Security Guard Detachment while in Switzerland. Interesting group to a patriotic American of Mexican descent.Photo statue is 13" wide and 10.25 " tall.Have any additional questions or comments, please contact me via email.Selling Vintage and Antique Disclaimer:I sell Antiques and Vintage items, they come with dust, scratches, bumps, bruises and the like, i.e, they are not perfect items.
