WW 2 Japanese Sword. This sword came from a WW2 Pacific vets estate last year.I will describe as best as I can. Please feel free to ask any questions.I do not know Japanese swords very well, only what I read to help me describe this one.The handle is 8 3/4" long, and in very good condition. The blade is 27 3/4" long to the brass collar. It has a wavy temper line, which was is a little hard to see,and to photograph. The blade appears to me to be dull and maybe needs a cleaning? The edge is free from nicks, and very sharp. The scabbard is 30 1/4" long and appears to be aluminum. The 2 throat screws are missing, therefor it's loose.I had a person that knows Japanese look and the writing on the tang. They said it says "Seki Junin Kanehiro".
