100% Authentic. This is a WW2 US navy issued (could be USMC) Mark 1 fighting knife, made by PAL, a somewhat obscure maker. It is in the early type gray/green colored scabbard and has a belt loop, not wire hangers. It has a parkerized finish, and a metal end cap (pommel?) The handle is made with stacked leather washers and they are all tight, and in almost mint condition. The ODD thing about this knife, and I understand it makes these somewhat rare, is that this one has colored rings at each end of the leather handle - 4 colored rings each side, black, red, white, black. Not many military knives had this little decorative touch! The overall condition of the knife and scabbard is great - though there is evidence of sharpening, just some shallow stone marks, I'll let the pictures do the talking there. Scabbard is well marked, snaps work just fine. Ready for combat. Seriously - it is in that good of shape! Write with questions, and SEE MY OTHER AUCTIONS!!!!
