Great, example of WW2 paratrooper cap patch. I have the thickly done 101st patch(Type something??), one of the rarer variations, done in a very similar way to this. The 101st WW2 patch has this type thread worked into it. Would describe as a highly polished cloth-type thread with a metal-like reflective look to it . (Paratroops, paratroopers, airborne, glider, D-day, Normandy)
