This is an original M35 double decal helmet with later style runes decal on the right side and smooth mat green finish. The helmet has its original chicken wire cover held on by thick hooks. The helmet is strong with no cracks or dents and overall is in excellent condition. The decal on the left hand side has been period scratched off as can be seen in the photos. The helmet has had the name of the soldier and rank scratched off common with Elite helmets. Inside however very faint in ink is the name and serial number of the solider! This helmet has its original chinstrap which is marked 1941 and is in excellent condition and the remains of the string and tag from posting it home during wartime are still tired to the chinstrap ring. On the inside of the helmet shell is stamped EF62 and at the back the numbers 1310. These helmets are rare in any condition but this one is very good having spent many years in a box, for photos of the right hand decal please send me an email with your email address.
