Genuine, authentic, original hand signed letter of Luftwaffe Stuka King of Aces Hans-Ulrich Rudel. Rudel was a Stuka dive bomber Luftwaffe pilot during WW2, and was the most highly decorated soldier of all of WW2 from Germany. Rudel flew an unbelieveable 2530 comat missions, claiming more than 2000 individual targets destroyed, including 800 vehicles, 519 tanks, 150 pieces of artillery, a destroyer, 2 cruisers, one Soviet battleship, 70 landing craft, 4 armoured trains, several bridges and 9 aircraft shot down. Because of his impressive bravery and military leadership for the Third Reich, he was awarded the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Golden Oakleaves, the only one ever awarded during the War, in addition to the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross with Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds. The one page legal size letter is typed on his personal printed stationery, dated, January 5, 1968, to a Herr Hoyer, who he thanks for his letter and "proved to me that there are still Germans who really care about the German future. I believe it is our duty to believe in the German opportunity, and if we earn it, it will come. If you look around, there are enemy forces which could be overpowering,.
