This listing is a first for me. you the classic, WWII US Navy MKII Talker's Helmet. The helmet has the pebbled combat finish and is painted in Navy blue for use aboard ship. The oversized helmet accommodated communications' headsets. Signalmen and gun crew spotters wore the talker helmets. The helmet has a foam suspension that is perfectly intact along with the lip around the circumference of the helmet. It fits my head and I take a 7.25 cap size. T is just one tiny dent, and no gouges or rust. The talker helmet is almost frozen in time. T is no communications gear. You have the helmet and suspension. It is stenciled MKII and USN to the interior. It is wonderfully preserved. This helmet was featured in the movie Enemy Below w a US Destroyer Escort and a German Submarine were portrayed stalking each other. You also see this helmet in documentaries, especially those depicting the Iwo Jima and Okinawa Campaigns. Our helmets came a long way since the Kelly Model 1936 Doughboy Style helmets at the beginning. This helmet is just what you need to complete your WWII collection. This WWII US Navy's MKII Talker's Helmet with USN Combat Finish in near mint condition would make a fabulous addition, upgrade and/or completion to a WWII USN Collection. It is a perfect item for wear by re-enactors. Further, it would look terrific in your display, museums, and for educational and theatrical presentations. Buyer in the States pays US Postal Service Priority Mail shipping with delivery confirmation/tracking slip, and I will combine postage for multiple purchases. W First Class Postage is offered, I insist on a padded bag and delivery tracking slip. Tracking is mandatory for all Pay Pal domestic transactions. For Pay Pal payments $250 and larger, a signature return receipt is mandatory. If outside the States this will change. I ship world wide for all countries recognized by Pay Pal. I will present shipping costs (Global Express and Airmail Parcel Post) for larger items through an invoice and contact email. Insurance and tracking on large size or large dollar items are mandatory. Smaller items can be shipped easily, safely and affordably in a Global Priority Flat Envelope for five dollars and fifty cents (most countries participate in Global Priority).
