For auction is a very nice World War 2 officers service cap with stiffener made by DOBBS a high quality hat maker much like BANCROFT.In the inside t is a transparent card holder with card sewn to the vinyl like sweat protector.The owner was a B-24 flight instructor,The chin strap, cavalry neck strap with holder (see pic) and visor are soft and pliable without age cracks.The wool portion is without moth holes or tracking.T is no size tag but I ran a cloth tape measure around the inside of the sweatband and got 21- 1/2".Get yourself a eagle device, polish the buttons and you'll have one fine looking officers cap.email questions and thanks.
