Inspector Initials - NICE ConditionUp for auction is an Original WWI Era US Army/USMC M1907 Leather Sling. The sling is marked with the manufacturer's Logo (Chicago Belting Co.) & H.E. Inspector Initials, no date. This sling has the correct WWI Blackened Brass hooks. The sling is used, see photo's for condition. The sling has both leather keeper. The leather is soft and supple. There is some minor wrinkling on the surface of the leather. Some surface cracking, but no deep cracks. The leather has darken with age. The stitching is all tight and intact. This is an Original Functional WWI era Sling and would look great on a WWI era rifle.NOTE: this is a collectible item, suitable for a correct historic display.
