WWI Era British Pattern 1913 Bayonet w/Leather Scabbard for Pattern 1914 Enfield Rifle - Marked: W 4-17 for Winchester Up for auction is a WWI Era British Pattern 1913 Bayonet w/Leather Scabbard for the P14 Enfield Rifle. The wooden grips are in Nice Condition, no chips or cracks. The wood is a nice brown color. The locking mechanism for the bayonet is working. The crossguard and pommel are tight. The blade is marked with the British Crown Proof marks 1913 and W (Winchester) 4 - 17, on the reverse side. The markings are easy to read. The blade still has the original blue finish. The blade has not been excessively sharpened. No nicks or chips in the blade. The Scabbard is in nice condition. There is a Broad Arrow Proof marking in the leather. Leather is soft and supple.
