Authentic WWI German Officer’s Belt Buckle GOTT MIT UNS . This Brass German Officer’s Belt Buckle displays the Imperial Crown of Wilhelm II, the last German Emperor and King of Prussia ruling from June 1888 until his abdication in November 1918 shortly before Germany's defeat in WWI. GOTT MIT UNS (God With Us) is written above crown; Garland shown beneath the crown. The silver atop the brass buckle could be Sterling but is more likely Nickel. A relative brought this buckle back from the battlefield of WWI. Maker’s mark ‘2’ is shown on the back of the buckle. Brasso was used to clean and polish this piece to display the FINE quality and workmanship. Sold as is in Excellent Condition. First Class USPS Shipping.
