is a nice WWI German Officer Sword, Hungarian Sword Officer Sword . I believe this is a Hungarian sword since it is stamped "Cholekkardgyar" and "Budpest" on the ricasso. It appears both the scabbard and sword both are nickel plated. The beautiful bright blade has a slight curve. The blade measures 25 3/8 inches from the tip to the guard. The ricasso measures 1 1/4 inches which is marked "Cholekkardgyar" and "Budpest". Also the letter "R" is encircled and stamped on the ricasso. T is one single fuller on both sides of the blade that measure about 16 inches. The blade is in excellant condition, it has a clear bright finish. The blade has a very light wear possible from being removed from the scabbard. I would rate the blade at 95% - 98%. I don't believe it has been polished or sharpened. The guard is still intact, sturdy, and tight. The guard is lightly freckeled, but in great shape. The handle is wrapped in ray skin which has two slight tears, but excellant. The dove head pommel completes the sword with light discoloring on top of the button. The scabbard looks to be in great condition. The scabbard is solid, lightly to moderate freckling, but no dings or dents. The dragg is neatly shaped and solid.
