Here is a nice original US m1917 WWI helmet, complete with its original liner. The front of the helmet has a painted 3rd division insignia, as well as a painted Major's oak leaf. The finish shows evidence typical of field use, including a period repaint. The liner is in good condition. I don't see any markings on the underside. There is a break in the lower half of the chinstrap, but it would be an easy repair should you want to do so. E315 is stamped into the chinstrap. The felt padding has a few moth bites, but it's in really good shape otherwise. The underside of the brim is stamped ZF45.
