we have an Awesome, World War One REMINGTON MADE M1917 BAYONET and Matching Black Leather & Metal SCABBARD. This is a Made in America by Remington Bayonet, Enfield P14 & P17 Pattern. Fits the Winchester M1897 & M1912 Trench Riot Shotgun employed in combat during WWI by U.S. Expeditionary Forces. Size: 17 inch blade, O.A.L. 22 inches, 23 inches in scabbard. I removed most of the original storage grease for photo preparation.Ricasso contains Remington Stamp with 1917 Date above it, both very crisp marks. Opposite side has the U.S. Ordnance department, Flaming Bomb Insignia over U.S. with the Eagle Head over number 8, and opposite is a letter "X." Bright Fullered Blade not sharpened, no rust, no scratches, no pitting, no issues. 3/4" of Ricasso is deep blued. Press stud release button functions normally. Original steel-mounted Black leather scabbard is in gorgeous condition, no damage, no issues, and contains all stitching, which is intact and strong. Makers mark, RE in a circle on Chape, and leather is stamped 6809 near upper stitching. Wood grips are complete and show hardly any use marks worth mentioning-in super condition.
