Goss Porcelain - VASE WWI Allied Flags - Union Fait La Force This auction is for a beautiful and rare WWI vase! Made by Goss at the start of WWI it shows the flags and names of the Allied Forces: Belgium, Italy, Great Britain, France, Japan, Serbia and Russia. It also carries the French motto "L' Union Fait La Force" and the Dutch translation which means "Strength through Unity". This VASE measures just over 4.5 inches" (11 cm) in height. Condition is excellent: no chips, no cracks and no repairs. T is slight wear of the gold rim. This vase is marked with the the regular Goss backstamp, and in addition to that t is an added backstamp that reads; "Pub. By F.B. den Boer, Middelburg". Middelburg is a town in the Dutch province of Zeeland AND the text MODEL OF VASE DUG UP NEAR SWINDON, making this a rare and very unusual item. More photo's available on request.
