Very Unusual WWI WWII M1 Springfield Armory Garand / M1903 (A3) Leather Sling Stamped "S.A. (over) N.F.R." In Good Condition ! Up for Auction is a Very Unusual Type I WWI - WWII Springfield Armory M1 Garand or M1903 (A3) Leather Sling Stamped "S.A. (over) N.F.R." . The sling keepers match in color and they appear to be absolutely original to the sling. The claws are brass (it would have to be made prior to 1943) and the sling shows actual use and minor scuffing with no major damage. The sling has some minor surface cracking that will not affect it's use and it is in very good condition for a piece of leather that is probably well over 70 years old.
