Excellent example of a 1944 dated M-209-B Cipher Machine. Paint and body are in excellent condition. The internal mechanism is complete and functional as can be seen by the "26-letter check" typed using this machine. Has the original Oiler tube, but is missing the screwdriver, tweezers, and Ink tube which is common with these units (originals do pop up every now and then)Includes an original M-209 Carry Pouch, an unused M-210 Message Book, a 1947 dated copy of TM 11-380 operators manual, and two 4" spools of ticker tape (1970s production but identical to the original tape). The only issue with this machine is that the outer key wheel rings on four of the key wheels have split causing the outer ring to be able to spin without turning the key itself. The machine can be used with a little fines. Unless you are planning to use the machine to actually encode or decode messages, it is only cosmetic and easy to conceal by rotating the key wheels till the split is out of sight. Otherwise, the machine is in almost mint condition.Item is sold As-Is, if you have any questions, please ask before bidding. International bidders.
