Excellant condition military collection from a AAF veteran who was a airplane crew chief for the 368th fighter group, 396th fighter squadron. Joseph E. Lanum Jr. serial number 35401890 participated in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhinlenad, Central Europe and Air combat Balkans. Auction includes several service records a super flight record unit history for the 368th which includes confirming that the 368th was the first group to be stationed in French soil after D-DAY. Info on claims against the enemy and other sorty numbers and rounds fired and bombs dropped included. Three books, "PROP WASH", dedicated to graduation from flight school which includes a book of all cadets and addresses as well as 2 collar DIs.
