WWII A-26 B&D 50 CAL AMMUNITION, CANNON AMMUNITION OR BOMBS, INTERNAL OR EXTERNALE697A LOAD ADJUSTER This auction features WWII ammunition load adjuster. This A-26 B&D load adjuster is in excellent condition, the case is missing but you can pick one up on ebay pretty cheap. Cox & Stevens Aircraft Corporation manufactured this load adjuster. Load adjusters were designed to check the proper loading of an aircraft to make sure its total weight and its center of gravity are within the limits for safe operation. The front has the scales for the calculations; the reverse has pictures of the aircraft with the various places w passengers and/or freight could be placed and their effect on the center of gravity. The number in the bottom left front is E697A. This was purchased at an estate sale in Ga.
