Condition: Slightly soiled. There is an illegible stamp on the upper right of the band.Description: This is a German WWII Civilian in the Service of the Armed Forces armband. This is a group of volunteers whose goal was to assist the armed forces in a non-combat related role. Activities would include food distribution, fuel and supply deliveries, etc. The armband was worn on the left arm of the uniform. The armband was constructed of cotton and is bright yellow with black embroidered letters in the center. Some of the armbands made during this time had the lettering stamped on them. The embroidered armbands, like this one, are worth more than those that were stamped. The letters read DEUTSCHE WEHRMACHT. This translates to "German Armed Forces."
