WWII Era Early US Army Khaki Canvas Duffel Bag without Shoulder Strap & Handle - No Visible Date - Very Nice ConditionUp for Auction is an Early WWII Era US Army Khaki Canvas Duffel Bag or Sea Bag. The Bag is made of heavy cotton duck material. This is the early version without a carry handle and shoulder strap. It uses a drawstring closure through the grommets. This bag was used by the Army and USMC during the early years of WWII for the troops to carry all of their personal items, clothing and gear to their respective duty stations. This particular example is used, see photo's for Condition. Some minor fading, as is consistent with it 70+ year age. It has a soldiers name stenciled on the bag. It has no visible manufacturer markings or dates.Stored with care, from the estate of a family friend.
