This is a large elaborate piano shawl or tablecloth dating from the World War II era and tagged "Made in Italy". It measures 50" x 74" not including the four inch hand tied fringe. It is a beautiful lavender and black color with peacocks, trees & flowers in the weave. I detected one or two snags in the thread but found no soiling or other damage and the fringe also is very good shape - doesn't appear to be tangled anyw or missing any threads. . It does have a faint musty odor from storage. Very stunning piece that displays exceptionally well. Always happy to combine - new bidders may combine for up to five days, previous customers are welcome to combine for up to 30 days.
